It actually featured players from regions 12 through 16. It was Saturday at Perry CCHS.

Walt Allen led all scorers with 32 pts, including eight three-pointers, to lead the South stars to a 133-106 win. Cody Gilbert had 21 (I think) to lead the North.

Sounds like it was a defensive struggle?

Owens did not play.

Not a ridiculous amount of defense. Really, as much as anything, it was just wide-open with a lot of running and transition buckets.

Bell County's Jeremy Sanders was joking around before the game, saying "We should just shoot threes all night long," and that's pretty much what happened. The South squad hit a ton of threes. I don't have the exact number, but Allen hit eight, and Fothergill and Norman hit three apiece. I know Miller had a few, as did Cox, but those guys were playing distributor more than anything else.

Thanks JS. I heard Fothergill had 22 points? I heard they had some one on one contest and was wondering how that went down if you know....Thanks again

To be honest, I didn't really pay much attention to the halftime activities. I was kind of preoccupied with the NCAA games. Fothergill had 21. I know Ray Norman had 16 and won the dunk contest, but I can't remember any beyond that.
