January 21, 201511 yr Who doesn't zone block in the NFL? True however there are only a few who basically exclusively zone block. The coach who just left to go to Denver is known for bsdically only using that. From his days as oc in Denver under Mike Shanahan and then as head coach at Houston. The ravens were not much of a true zone team until last year. Then they thrived using it and made a journeyman running back look great using it in Forsett. So all teams use it on some running plays. However very few run it mainly exclusively and known for it.

Every team runs zone blocking in the NFL, what they are saying is that Kubiak doesn't pull guards and /or tackles but even teams that do pull zone block to the backside.

He didn't really run the ball in Chicago. Expect his first year to be great and for Baltimore to tail off in the 2nd year... It seems to happen everywhere he goes.
