Glasgow head football coach Rick Wood resigned today. Top notch football coach.

Any ideas why? Is he going to another school?

Not that I'm aware of. Coach Wood had actually retired from teaching couple years back, and just coached (along with working for a rock/sand company during the day on the side).

 

It was rumored throughout the season that this might be it (nobody's decision, but his). Heck of a coach. I for one hope he isn't done, but he's been doing it a long time and has had great success.

 

He is one that I hate never won it all. He was so close at Edmonson, Warren Central and Glasgow. Semifinals, state finals...just never could get one.

I believe Rick is done with coaching, for good.

 

All caps can rejoice, as the ones Rick donned on his head took a beating during football season.

I wouldn't call it "biting the dust." Rick left on his own terms. Some things are more important than being a football coach.

31 so far have come open this year, and almost a full 2 weeks left in January.

 

What's amazing about that? The domino effect hasn't been cause for any of them except one (Woodford open due to Stoney leaving for J-town).
