Campbell County 81 Conner 52

Featured Replies

Conner is best when they play together, sharing the ball. They couldn't buy a basket in the first half and in the second, there was too much one on 4 or 5 basketball. This team cant win that way. Movement and pressure is the best way for Conner to be competitive. When they do this they can give the top teams a game, otherwise they get blown out like they did last night.

I agree with the bolded--which is why I picked them in the prediction thread.

Hemmerich 5 9 19

Not a bad stat line. Is 'one of' Conner's issues that they don't have another big scorer to help Hemmerich out?

Conner's issue last night was that offensively, the person who brought the ball up the floor, or the person that caught the first pass, shot the ball 90% of the time. As an earlier post stated, a lot of 1 on 4 and 1 on 5 basketball last night, especially in the second half. No movement, no sharing of the ball, no basketball cuts or plays by players trying to get the basketball or help a teammate to get open.

Hemmerich's stats look good in the newspaper, but he took ALOT of shots to get to those 19 points.

No one has mentioned....... Camels defense played a big role in the Cougars inability to score, and/or get to the basket, or rebound, they were just out matched on this night.
