Lawnboy13
Prior to the start of the NewCath/Newport game Tuesday night, Newport Central Catholic honored Mrs. Tina Pangallo, wife of the late Frank ('55) and mother of Rocky ('80), Jimmy ('84), Frankie ('87), Nicky ('88), Steve ('91), & Chris ('95), grandmother of Grant ('10), Zach ('15), Steven ('18) & Vince Bonhaus ('01) and 1st grand-daughter to play, Alexis Pangallo ('18) for her over 40 years of dedication to the NewCath basketball program. She has watched everyone of her sons & grandsons games. She was presented a framed #12 NewCath jersey, since it's the number that has been passed down to every Pangallo through the years. Nice job of New Cath to honor her. Years ago, there was a very tiny #12 etched in the nose of one of the horse heads on the court. Not sure many knew of it, but the Pangallo players would always acknowledge it when they hit the court. Wonder if there is that number hidden on the court today?
