Why is Jones not playing for Clark?
Didn't play in the Lawrence Co game either. Believe he is hurt.

Paris never seemed to get into any kind of sets offensively. They never took advantage of the size advantage they had. My first game ever at Paris and I was very disappointed in the crowd.

Credit GRC's defense.

[h=1]Cards earn first district victory of season[/h]http://www.centralkynews.com/winchestersun/sports/high_school/grc/prep-basketball-cards-lady-cards-earn-first-district-victory-of/article_eb37efc6-8fc2-525a-9039-7e86921704c6.html

The Cardinals used strong defense to hold off the Greyhounds and welcome the return of senior guard Braxton Greene, who had missed nearly a month because of an ankle injury.

Humphrey said Clark’s defense proved to be too much for Paris to overcome and helped set the tone for his squad.

“On the defensive end, we had them completely frustrated,” Humphrey said. “I felt like they lost their poise and composure at times and our kids were just very business-like and had an excellent game for 32 minutes. On the defensive end, we took them out of anything they wanted to do.”

Greene and four teammates finished in double figures for the Cards in the easy win. Damion King led the way for Clark with 17 points, followed by Jyles Anderson with 16, followed by Greene and Jordan Davis with 10 points apiece.

Humphrey was glad to have Greene back in the lineup and praised his performance in his first game back.

“He’s such a leader on our team,” Humphrey said. “Our kids just really respond to his energy. Last night, was a total team effort. Everybody that came in and played just gave us solid minutes throughout.”

If my feet were put to the fire right now, it would be:

1. Mason County

2. Clark County

3. Scott (different team w/Schneider and healthy)

4. Campbell County

Jury still out on Harrison County.

When do these 2 teams play? Their contrasting styles should provide an entertaining game. Will Scott's high scoring theatrics win, or GRC's smothering defense.

(PS: I'm not driving down to GRC to watch it, so please tell me they will be playing at Scott... 10 minutes from my house :) )

We have already played them in Dec @ Scott. We won by 14 points. Here is a link to the update thread.

They played on December 13. Schneider was out and the flu bug was in for Scott at the time.

I know that Schneider was out. He was out with a sprained ankle and he was the one with strep throat. Believe all other players played and were OK.

GRC got into early foul trouble. WE had played Dixie the night before and stayed in NKY that night and then played Scott the next afternoon at 3:30.
