Great win for the Panthers and Coach Hinson. As I said in an earlier post, there's Campbell and then there's literally everybody else with the order changing weekly. As I also said 4 years ago, we're (Augusta) just so happy to be a part of the conversation every year now and as we all know "winning" changes your culture regardless if you have 105 kids in HS or 2005. Our kids now expect to win whenever they step on the floor and the scoreboard lights up. Gotta say I love it............

Personally, I had Mason right there with Harrison as the "toss-up" #2 team in the region. Both have the size and athleticism to compete with CC so I'll be anxious to see who steps up.

I was at the game scouting Harrison for the 2nd time and no offense to Augusta or their defense, but I would estimate Thompson at about 50%. He played roughly 50% of the game and had no arch on his 3 compared to last year and the game I watched earlier. Still a good win for Augusta but definitely Harrison wasn't at full strength

 

Harrison has the potential. They just lack the leadership from their bench as in Coach. Has been a recurring problem at HCHS ever since Mike Reitz left. I can understand why players want to go elsewhere and play. Not to take anything away from Augusta as they played a very good game, but Harrison should have won this one.

Augusta wins to improve to 7-0 over a talented Harrison County team. Trent Thompson, who missed last night's game vs. Holmes, played tonight but was nowhere near 100%. He scored 6 points in limited action. The Panthers were calm, cool, and collected from start to finish in this one. Even basically playing without Thompson, for the most part, the Thorobreds have size, speed and shoot well from the perimiter. This is the biggest win of the season for Augusta. They travel to Pendleton County on Monday night for a girl/boy doubleheader.
