Tell me how I was discrediting Holmes team???? I stated facts of how the game was played. Where did I say I didn't like the coaches strategy? I stated what players we had out with injuries. Also when players fouled out of the game for both teams. I also said Holmes had a nice team and wished them luck the rest of the season.

 

Those that know me on this board, know I am a supporter of GRC sports, but also a supporter of all kids, doesn't matter what jersey they wear.

Obviously both teams have girls injured, sick as do most teams they all play short handed from time to time it's basketball and sport by commenting about it your adding a well if element to it!!! Holmes played with the girls they had and GRC did as well...

All Goldie did was an information and you have decided that because you don't like the way basic information was worded to snivel about it. I would be interested to hear all about Holmes previously but listening to you you can hold the ball and run out the clock on this thread.

As I stated this thread was started with a very GRC point of view and added a few snidbits about game play and players who didn't play. That happens but explain as to why you thought they held the ball. What was happening in the game to dictate that style of play?? gold sunrise's comments weren't to give Holmes credit for devising a strategy to win on the road against a talented team?? They were a setup comment to win favor for his team not to lose favor with the pollsters and people who are on BGP!! It was posturing!! Read it no where did it say it was a winning strategy which is exactly what it was!! In the Holmes preview thread it was established by RCC9 that this team was going to see a lot of zone... How would they combat that?? Well I think that question was answered yesterday! If teams want to sit in a zone against this team it looks like Perkins will hold the ball up top to force his girls to be guarded!! who's at fault the girls who held the ball or the girls who didn't get up and defend?? It's basketball and yesterday it was the winning strategy! ! That's what this thread should of been about

First of all I am female.....:lol2: Not Snidbits but facts from the game. As I stated this is a discussion board. You have the freedom to state why they held the ball and explain it to us, but did not. I wish you had. I am not a parent of any of the players, but a retired teacher from GRC. We will just have to disagree on the intentions of my first post. No disrespect to Holmes was intended on my part.

2 teams played hard... refs called lot of fouls... Coach made a decision to take it out of refs hands... Holmes won 55-46

DG, threads will be a lot better if you're not so sensitive. I didn't read anything in the post to discredit Holmes.

So Holmes held the ball for 7 straight minutes and GRC let them do that? Was GRC in foul trouble?
