@TAC and @BirdBrain Do either of you guys fiddle much with the whole injecting deal when you deep fry turkeys? My father in law and I have a deep fryer and have done turkeys the last few years, and the last couple of times we tried using store bought "creole butter" injectable marinade. The first year we injected a 16lb turkey with about half the jar of creole butter and then last year we used the entire jar on a 16lb turkey....hardly noticed any difference from plain old turkey either time. I'm kind of weighing my options for this year.

I have usually always injected mine...unless it is some creole or heat related, I havent' seen much difference. I have always wondered if you injected the bird and then let it set for 24 hours if it worked into the cellular fiber better...

A buddy of mine was the 1st person I knew to deep fry a turkey, he's done them forever. He always injects them a day before and lets them sit for a day...his are great.
