No difference in checking one straight ticket box or checking only the boxes of one party. People can use whatever reason they want to vote for a candidate. Then why do you think the rest of the country (36 states) don't do it?

I don't know:idunno: And really, I don't care:D My only point was I don't see the benefit to not having it. I simply don't think it changes voting behavior in any way. Have the 36 states that don't do it seen a tangible benefit?? Again, I'm more concerned about strict one issue voters, or people that cast their vote by going eeny meeny miny moe to make a selection. Taking the option away won't make people more informed. A straight party voter will just put their check mark next to every name with a "D" (or "R") next to it.
