Who will win the match and represent the 9th Region this season? And why?

Should be good soccer, but I think CovCath by 2... or 3. St Henry has a nice team but I just don't think they match up well with CovCath.

Looking forward to watching two well coached teams with good talented players compete for the championship. Either one will represent the region well in the state tournament.

Hope the center ref is talented as well, one in particular, young guy, is obvious choice.

CCH wins 2-1 in regulation, having majority of poessesion and putting consistent pressure on the St Henry defensive third of the field/goal is the difference.

I believe if St. Henry can maintain and control posession they may have a chance in this match. If CCH can't finish and allows the CRU to hang around they will get a tough 1 to 0 win. If CCH controls and finishes well they will get a 2 to 0 win.

Agree with Center.......finishing is the key.....

 

Will also say that you can throw any comparisons to the regular season game out the window......first game of the season and both teams are considerably different at this point.....

In contrast to last night's CCH/NCC game, this is two teams with similar styles. Both like to possess but I think St. Henry likes to play a little more over the top once in awhile, which I'd like to see CCH try a little more just to mix it up. Should be a good match. I'd agree that the early season matchup does not mean much and is a little misleading. CCH got two goals that night from defenders and another from a player that I think scored just that one goal all year. St. Henry did have one off the cross-bar and a couple other close calls. Could have been a different game although the CCH midfield played very well that game.

Sticking with my CCH 2-1 SH prediction, just adding for the players' sake I hope a huge crowd shows up tonight, the players deserve it. Beautiful 61degrees, no rain, light breeze at kickoff, no excuses. Perfect weather, two good teams with usually good student body support, should make for a tremendous atmosphere. No injuries and a good, non-factor referee crew would cap off what promises to be a great night of HS athletics.

I would love to see a big turn out for the game. For some seniors it's going to be their final high school soccer game!

Anyone know why the game is at 8? At first thought girls final was prior, but it is at Ryle.

Not sure OTB, glad it is though, 8:00 kickoff allows me time to make my way to Ft Thomas for what should be a great night of soccer.
