#2 in 4A Owensboro continues their march to WKU. Next up is winless Hopkins County Central.

Owensboro will be playing JV and Freshman in this one, but Prince rarely runs it up in the 2nd half...he'll have the backup QB run the clock each time...running clock and 50-7

This is a great game to get your younger kids some work that hopefully will carry over to next year. Plus it saves your starters and can get some guys healthy. Some don't like a game like this close to playoffs, and I agree too many is bad, but one is really great IMO. It allows you to tune things up in basically a scrimmage to help the younger kids on your team. Who knows, in the playoffs they may be needed and these snaps they take in a game like this can be valuable confidence builders for them.

I agree purple. This is a district game. Calloway and Hopkins Central are 2 games I personally hate, but we have to play them. I expect this to get out of hand early, but freshman will play alot. Great experience for them.

Hey Brown,

Will the Safety/WR that went out during the Madisonville game be back for the playoffs or is he done for the year?

My guess is done for the year - he broke his arm. Solid player that will be missed.

Completely Agree Brown.

He was a really good athlete. Sorry to hear this news. Hate injuries...
