SL is the worst for it though, IMO. Every fan of a team blames the referees every now and then, but every time something goes wrong that's all you hear about after the game.

Well, luckily for your hypersensitive sense of justice, SL's sports teams don't lose as much as they win - by a long shot. Look at the 2004-05 school year:

Boys state champions - basketball. Enough said.

Girls V-ball, BB (Final Four), and SB state tournaments

Baseball - Region qualifier

Football: State Playoffs, 4A

Boys Soccer: Elite 8

This year: Football 9-3 record, playoff win

Basketball: Boys Sweet 16 again, 4th time this decade. Girls: Region semis

Volleyball: Region semis (not sure about this)

Boys Soccer: Elite 8 for 2nd straight year

Who is your team? You probably don't have the guts to tell us. No matter - I am sure that school's fans are of about the same quality. Some have class, some don't. Some make excuses, some don't. I think you're just jealous of SL's success.

Have a nice day.

Actually, SL's volleyball team won the region and went to the state again this season.

I am not saying that they do lose alot, beacuse it is evident that they don't, I never said that they did. When ANYTHING goes against an SL team it just a huge ordeal. It seems like everyone is out to get them in everything when it is in most occurrences the complete opposite. I'm not jealous at all of their success, they have a great program and I have never questioned that. I am just an observer of high school sports, not someone who bites someone's head off after a simple comment on a message board, I try to have more class than that.

Have a nice day.

Who was named to the All Tournament team from South and North Laurel?

There was a Corbin representative, but I don't have it down. It was likely Crawford

Sanders - Bell

Watkins - C'wood

Bray - LC

Carson - NL

Allen - NL

W. Jones - Clay

Swafford - Clay

Good - B'ville

Cox - B'ville

Grubb - B'ville

Allen - SL

Proffitt - SL

Hammonds - SL

Smith - SL

Other leftovers from the championship game:

• SL hit 7-of-10 FTs in the final 39.1 seconds

• Matthew Cox scored an amazing nine points in the final 13.6 seconds — a length of the floor driving layup plus a FT, a fadeaway three from the right corner, and a three from just barely inside the half-court line that hit nothing but net. Bet his uncle had to be proud. He also had nine rebounds, most of anyone in the game.

• Chris Good scored 10 points in the second quarter as B'ville came back from a 16-5 deficit early to take a 25-22 halftime lead.

• SL hit 8-of-14 shots (57 percent) in the second half after a dismal 6-for-22 (27 percent) first half.

• Trey Smith and Jordan Hammonds each blocked three shots apiece and pulled down seven boards apiece in the game.

It was a classic!
