play2 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Jayme Gilbert had 35 pts. in this game. South Laurel played a great game but Clay pulled it out in the end. Good luck Lady Tigers against Corbin monday night.
51513 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Gilbert played great. She wanted this one so bad. She was doing everything. Scoring, rebounding, getting huge blocks, steals, assists, she was unbelievable. I thought Sarah Burchell stepped up big today when the Jackson girls got in foul trouble. They came out and played with emotion. These girls really wanted this game. Keep it up girls. One more game.
gooseman Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 GIlbert was just GREAT tonight, I thought jackson did a good job on Neace, and I really thought Gemma played with alot of heart tonight...you could tell in Jaymes eyes that she wasnt going to lose that game....Good Luck Monday girls! I hope you pull it out because you all deserve IT!! Good Game South
4slcards Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Clay did play a good game and Gilbert is a great player.I just wish it could have been played on a neutral floor. We're all proud of you Lady Cards!!!!
SKINPIG Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 SKOOLY was not going to be denied, she simply took control of the game. Sarah Burchell comes off the bench and plays her heart out, good job Sarah. South played well and IMO they are the second best team in the 13th. Corbin played good today as well, Clay better be ready.
addout Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 .....and of course records and head to head competition mean..........nothing!

Corbin beat South three out of three, but I guess that means nothing.
addout Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 [/b] Corbin beat South three out of three, but I guess that means nothing. Hey, I think I just said that, but Im sure he needed to hear it again!
gooseman Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 south is a better team that corbin, i even heard les say that tonight..
addout Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 south is a better team that corbin, i even heard les say that tonight.. I think I should tell you that Les' opinion is just a little biased.
51513 Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 South is better than Corbin without Rogers, and maybe with her.
addout Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 South is better than Corbin without Rogers, and maybe with her. Go ahead and believe that if it makes your ego feel better, after all we all have our delusions, don't we! But, I will say that South is a very good team. The best 15 and 12 team in the state. They could win several of the regions in the state and that they obviously had Clay County's number and late in the game it looked as though they could upset Clay and if you would admit it many of the Clay faithful were very worried.
gooseman Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Oh yes i have to say i was worried but thats our point South is a great team and in my eyes a better team than corbin. I would say most fans were worried, UNLIKE the previous corbin game... not too worried

I was worried both South games, but the Corbin game worriness never struck me because it was never close. I don't think it will hit me Monday night either, unless the refs get their eye on Coach Parsons and give her every call.:sssh:

I don't think it will hit me Monday night either, unless the refs get their eye on Coach Parsons and give her every call.:sssh: It was close at the half if I recall correctly. There was a call at the end of the 3rd quarter than went Clay's way that made it a 9 point lead, then Corbin was suppose to get possession to start the 4th, but the scorer had Clay's possession . They hit a basket on that trip and Corbin kind of lost their composure and Clay being the good team that they are took advantage of it. Clay is the heavy favorite, especially playing on their home floor with Corbin missing one of their best players, but the Lady Hounds will show up anyway.
