These sites are always fun for back and forth banter, and I'm glad to see others from Bardstown on here. That said, I will put my 9,900 posts against my neighbor's 4 that few in Bardstown is predicting a 2 TD playoff victory over Desales, and even fewer are confident in a road victory over CAL this week. We were not out "6 or 7 starters," we have an offensive tackle who hasn't played in several weeks, and a talented sophomore running back who broke his foot. That's it. The main contingent was there, and they were gassed. The Colts pounded us in the second half. Any other version is kool-aid spiked with some of our globally-known local product.

 

I did think the cheerleader banner was cute, and I am glad we have a school that still engages in that kind of school spirit, because it isn't done many other places anymore. I am also pretty sure that since it was up, and down, in about 1 minute, and faced only the Tiger sideline, that that item was not really what "motivated" Desales. By all means, however, keep up the energetic chatter.

I can promise you DeSales saw it. It did fire them up.

I liked the banner the only thing I didn't like was that it was facing our own sideline (yes I know our winning streak is the one that came to an end) something like a quote on a banner shouldn't work people up like it probably did, a little bit of competitive spirit is great for football it is the essence of it. But Hearsay I don't see why you couldn't see a 2 TD victory over Desales in the playoffs. I'm not claiming they aren't good but they are very beatable. As far as CAL I haven't seen them play in years I'm just going off of what I seen Bardstown do against the number one team in 2A. Also I didn't say we had 6 starters out I said role players. I know Helton definitely starts he was out, Snellen and Smalley both probably see a good amount of action on atleast one side of the line, the boy with the cast on his foot is I'm guessing the talented sophmore you're talking about and then the Marksberry boy (white kid in the sling) probably gets some action in on defense. That is 5 role players out who we could have no doubt used against a team like Desales who had 6 players playing only defense, especially if we were tired in the second half.

But Hearsay I don't see why you couldn't see a 2 TD victory over Desales in the playoffs.
