unbiasedcoach Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Cov 3-0. The why is self-explanatory.
Yellow Card Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 I could see CCH winning this one 4-0
unbiasedcoach Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I could see CCH winning this one 4-0 Easily, but I can see Dixie packing it in.
Yellow Card Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 Easily, but I can see Dixie packing it in. Yes, they probably will. Cooper was without Ross when they played earlier this year, they kept 1-2 defenders on Snow and the rest set up camp in and around the box.
whatsalenyou Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I'll go with CCH 5-0 in this one. They can pack it in all they want, but it is still going to get past them. They can't focus on just one player in this one. I think that speed plays a big factor in this one and I don't think that Dixie has much of a scoring threat at this point to require CCH to stay back. I think that the reserve players get a decent amount of playing time in this one. Dixie has a good keeper, but you can only do so much.
Oldtimebaseball84 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Might be a topic for a different thread......but I don't like the term "reserve players" to define members of the Varsity team. To me, a "Reserve" player is a player called up for just that game and hasn't been part of the team all year......... Starters/Subs......probably more accurate, during the game, but even for labeling seems wrong to me after the game.....
Offsides Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Important for CCH to not give up the first goal.
groinpull Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Colonels down at least a couple starters in this one due to injury but probably best not to elaborate right now. I'd say probably closer than everyone thinks given the way CCH played against Campbell.

I have been led to believe that they have plenty of depth... and several boys on JV that are deserving of a chance to fill in.

Coach was evidently on them about that last night.

Not an issue really but will make it closer and there are some good players on JV. They are undefeated and would beat a lot of varsity teams IMO. They and the freshman team both defeated Trinity's teams by identical 1-0 scores. Frosh are unbeaten too I believe and just beat Cincy St. X by a 1-0 score.

Oldtimebaseball84 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 That is true......against Trinity.....Colonels (Frosh, JV, V) were the only ones that scored.....unfortunately, Varsity scored the own goal......

Most of that bench is talented, but just not quite at starting level, and they perform really well when they get on the field, sometimes every bit as well as the starters.
