September 2, 201412 yr Ah, it was cool for my boys to see. Folks out there chanting "Science". One guy came up to the window as traffic stopped. I rolled down my window (my wife begged me not to). He started to put his hands on the door and lean in, then I took my .45 out of the holster. He went to the car behind me.:lol2: My oldest son said, "that would have hurried his 'every knee shall bow'". Dang... that's seems like a disturbing experience to have someone in your face simply because you wanted to tour the museum. How would that idiot even know what your personal beliefs were just because you were there? Sounds like the protesters are full of grand assumptions and knee jerk ridiculous reactions. I was raised with tons of religion, as well as tons of science. I've seen the pros and cons of both while neither has completely answered all of my questions. No matter where I lean, I personally wouldn't mind a visit to the museum as I'd be open to see what they've got to say, but then I'll discern for myself what I buy and what I don't just like I would with science, and after all said and done, I tend to think that my questions would likely still go unanswered. I certainly think that anyone should be able to tour that place without having the annoying obstacle of idiots in your face just because you wanted to check it out. People are strange.
September 2, 201412 yr I would like to go back and be able to spend time looking at everything. I'd like to spend the time in the planetarium again.
September 2, 201412 yr [ATTACH=CONFIG]46673[/ATTACH] This brings to mind and interesting thought: History has shown that opposing nations have at times banded together when they have a common enemy. With all the craziness that's presently going on in the world and the constant threat of war, perhaps an invasion from beyond could make all the aggressive nations on Planet Earth forget their issues and come together with a common cause. Thing is though if the alien nation was advanced enough to get here before we were ever able to get there, they'd likely be more advanced than we are and could propose a serious problem for us about what to do about it. What leader or leaders then from Planet Earth would have the nerve to take the reins when it's likely they won't even know what game it is we're playing. Honestly I think that it would serve all the bully leaders of Planet Earth right to all of the sudden be put in their place with something way more stronger than they could've ever imagined. How tough is your country now punk?
