May 7, 201412 yr Yeah interesting choice of Ohio State. With two teams from same conferences not really going to do the whole rotating thing I would think you could still get a more historical team. People fuss about Ohio State and may not like them, but they are a Top-20 team every season and have a large following. They'll bring fans and eyeballs, something these events are all designed to do.

But if you really think about it if you are going to have a Big 10 team Michigan St. would be my first choice but OSU would be second.

With Kansas and Michigan State both already in the Champions Classic with UK and Duke, perhaps they might not have wanted another rotating annual event. That's my thought as to why you go to Ohio State.

May 7, 201412 yr Also sounds like Texas @ Kentucky will be the Big 12 - SEC challenge matchup.... UNC Louisville (away) UCLA (neutral) Texas Kansas (neutral) That's a very solid non-conference slate. Anyone I'm missing? Watch out for Texas, they will be very competitive this year. Really like thier guard, Taylor. With the addition of Turner, they should be a top 15+ team. Anyone I'm missing? ESPN announced its SEC/Big 12 Challenge lineup this afternoon and the Cats find themselves playing Texas in Lexington on December 5.
