North Bullitt 2014

Featured Replies

What does North Bullitt need to do to improve in 2014? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Returning seniors Dalton Casey And Brady Threlkel will head up the back field for the Eagles. They also have some young talent that will help later. The bulk of the load will fall on jr. q.b. Logan James, after taking the reins as a soph. The year of conditioning and experience should pay huge dividends for this young man as he is explosive and fun to watch. The question remains at the lack of depth on the o-line and d-line.They have a great group of kids at the spots but unfortunately not enough of them.If the o-line comes together with no injuries, expect a good season but if it does not, it could be a long season.

Very well coached team and will have another solid season!

North Bullitt will continue with the change-over to No Huddle Shotgun given the ability of a very good runner/passer at QB in Jr. Logan James. Sr. Dalton Casey is a threat running, receiving and passing when needed. Casey is a special player on both sides of the ball. Sophomore Nate Johnson will have an expanded role after gaining a lot of varsity experience last season. Improvement on the offensive line will dictate how successful the team will be offensively.

Wow! North bullitt in the spread? Very interesting!

Spread to run the ball with the constant threat of passing game.

James threw for just over 1200 yds last year and ran for over 700 after being moved to QB in 3rd game when the change to spread began.

Another solid season as in.. another 3-8 season. Or are they expecting a solid season over .500??

LD-with the school you are at and some of the top talent in the state, is your question one that should be posed considering you know exactly what a 4-7 season is like? Feels like stone throwing to me, I hope I am just reading too much into your post. IMO-Newton does well with the talent he gets, knowing some of his more talented kids were recruited away (as reported to the KHSAA) by a small private south end school. I would say they are expecting a better than .500 season, but not a state title run by any stretch.

You can read as much or as little as you would like. I was just asking what would solid be for them? I can assume their schedule for 2014, so what are their wins if they go .500?? Pretty sure they lost one of their recent RB's to Ballard. And from what the Pioneer News published they inheritted an undefeafed A Team (incoming freshman class) Please don't assume that I'm a crap starter, or assume I'm with any school.

I actually know what a 4-8 season feels like, don't sale me short of that first round playoff win.

I make no assumptions, that is why I asked...and I know what school you are with, so no assumptions there either. With the group they have coming back, my comment about a solid season is what I will stand by. Regardless of talent they play hard, generally are well coached, and have a solid core group coming back. Good luck Eagles.

One third of that A team will not play at North.Thats two undefeated A teams in Three Years and One Third of them are No longer playing football for one reason or another.Nothing coach can do about that but he is making changes to utilize what he has.He has some good athletes and he is going to get them in open space ,it's all you can do at this point. As far as a solid season, well you gotta lay the ground work for the future and I would be thrilled with improvement. It will take time but you need to start somewhere and if you build it they will come! Winning breeds interest and interest breeds success.
