Conner 7 Scott 0

Featured Replies

Final from Scott. First of a double header.

Freshman Nick Craddock pitched well to get his second W of the year. Big kid who throws hard. Ryan Ward had a HR for Conner. Scott had 2 runners thrown out at home plate and another runner doubled up at 2b on a fly ball to left field that stymied any attempts for a comeback.

I'm thinking that it's not an easy Home Run at Scott, correct?

I wouldn't say it would be easy, but it's not as big as Cooper. Cooper is just a little smaller than Freedom.

The left field line is only 302, but it is protected by a 30ft high fence. And even at that short distance, I rarely see many balls hit off that wall, let alone over it. The rest of the field is pretty normal in dimensions for a high school field.

Ward is a RH hitter, but he hit the ball out to right center field. Still, not an easy task on that day as there was a constant wind blowing in around 20 mph.

Congrats to Ryan. I have known him for years and when he is hitting well, he has a lot of power to the opposite field.
