Breds just couldn't get a timely hit in this one. In the 3rd with runners on 2nd & 3rd Taylor Burkart goes down on strikes, and repeats the feat with the bases loaded in the 4th, after the Breds plate 4 runs. In the 5th & 7th, the Breds have them at 2nd and 3rd and 1-out and fail to score as well. NewCath's Sarah Neace was the offensive star in this one going 3-3 with 2 walks. Haley Meyers and Kristen Schreiber with ground rule doubles. 2-out walks and errors killed the Breds, as 6 runs cross the plate following one and/or the other.

 

Presentation's Taylor Lee goes the distance for the win striking out 11, many on her change-up. Rachel Huber goes 2-4.

The Thoroughbreds fell to 3-3 with doubleheader losses to Louisville Presentation (8-6) and Walton-Verona (17-1) in six innings at University of Cincinnati Medical Center Stadium on Tuesday.

NewCath had five hits against Presentation. Sarah Neace led the way going 3-for-3 with two walks.

The Thoroughbreds play host to Boone County on Wednesday. Game time is 5 p.m.
