Article in the commonwealth Journal today showing Somerset not renewing the girls coach contract??

They made the region two years in a row for the first time in years?? Anyone have any inside info on this ?

I'll ask around this afternoon in the parking lot, waiting to pick my daughter up.

The one parent that probably knows whats going on wasn't there today...so I have no idea what happened.

Why was the coach fired? Anyone know who they might target as their next coach?

Story in the paper just said that she was a good young coach but they were looking for more involvement of some sort. Coach was shocked that it happened.

 

There was a huge FB battle last night but most of the post were deleted prior to me seeing it, between a Sr parent and a Fr parent, both of whom played for the Briar Jumpers women's basketball team when they were younger

after next year it won't be hard to beat Somerset.......They don't have ANYTHING coming up!!

Seems this came out of no where. Do you think there was something worked out with a replacement before they let Walker go. Its not like the program was on fire and she brought them down. I know overall the record wasn't the best but seemed to improve and make region first 2 years.
