Watched this game on WYMT it was a great game.

What an amazing comeback by the patriots. Listened to the homers on the Killer B call the game.

That missed layup by Hudson late in the 3rd quarter that Knott got a run out for a basket and foul for 3 points was a turning point in the game. That was a 5 point swing.

WHAT???? I had no idea it was on! I've been listening to it on the radio while Mrs. Prof had "The Voice" on the tv.

Yeah, I don't see anyone stopping them. Hazard and Perry both lose key players. So does Cordia and Breathitt. Knott basically have all their players back.

So bummed, thought the Duke Boys would pull this one out.

Hazard was up 15 @ halftime.

Knott actually won the region by the skin of their teeth. Perry had them down 9 with about 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter in the first round game. Then Breathitt played them tough before losing 56-52. And they had to mount a comeback tonight from a sizable deficit to narrowly win.

But they are good at winning close ones. Perry had them beat in 2012, leading by 5 or 6 points with less than a minute remaining and Knott hit some big 3s ( I believe the kid that transferred from JBS and later signed with Transylvania, I can't remember his name) and was able to win at the wire. And my memory is a little fuzzy but I believe they defeated Breathitt that same year when a foul was called on Breathitt 80 feet from the basket and Knott went to the line and converted the free throws. I think there was maybe 1 second on the clock when the foul was called.

 

They're very good in knuckle grinding type games.

Memory was fuzzy. The 80 FT foul happened in the perry game it put kcc up for good. Happened again with Breathitt against knott when region was at knott. So it did happen against Breathitt too but different year.

OK. Age has a thing with memory sometimes, lol.

But the point is that Knott Central has won their close games in regional play the past the 3 years. They find a way to win.

I hope they can do the same at the state tournament but they've got a tough opening game with Bowling Green, who is playing some hot basketball right now.
