Nick Puckett, senior, Raceland's team manager, played the last minute of the game and scored 4 points.

For those who don't know Nick, he is a dear friend of mine and Nick is a special needs student. Nick also served as the girls varsity basketball manager last year as well as the football manager this year. Nick deserves every second he played tonight. Congrats to Nick!

Raceland also had six starters tonight, Nick being one of them. I talked briefly to Nick after the game, and everyone was giving him hand shakes and telling him good game, but what stuck out was that Nick said, "I am truly Blessed to be apart of Raceland." The kid deserves every bit of what he got tonight. Not a dry eye in the stands tonight. PROUD TO BE A RAM.

Augusta defeated Raceland soundly tonight closing out the regular season for the Rams.

Raceland finished the season far better in this the 2nd season under Coach Bob Trimble as his first season, taking over a losing program. I, being a life long Raceland fan am very glad to have coach Trimble at the helm. Trimble basically built the girls program at Raceland by taking a "team" and turning it into a "program", winning championships that had never been won before. Now Bob Trimble is imo on the way to doing the same with the Rams varsity boys program.

Raceland (14-12) will meet Greenup Co. (9-14) @ Russell in the 64rd district tourney at Russell high school next week.
