Van Guilder was better than Carter. But Carter was 7'1'' or so. HUGE kid.

 

Since there aren't too many, Terrence Farley from PRP & Louisville deserves a mention. I don't think anybody will argue he was the most talented player, but he meets the short list of criteria.

I'll add another to the list. Robert Miller of Louisville Central and went on to make the University of Cincinnati Hall of Fame. Oh, and Jared Carter of Scott County and UK.

 

The most interesting thing that I find about this thread is that we are going back 50+ years in time and have only named about fifteen players who were 6'10" or better. That means, on average, a big man comes along about once in every four years.

 

Amazing in my opinion.

 

Jim McDaniel of Allen County and Western Kentucky University gets my vote.

 

I liked Robert Miller a lot.
