This game was a lot closer than the score indicates. Silver Grove led by ten in the first quarter and never trailed til late in the fourth. Silver grove trailed by 3 with a minute left but missed an open look to tie, then went up to block a shot on the ensuing possession but was called for a foul and then assessed a technical after that it became free throw practice for Ludlow. Hard fought game and well played by both sides, was a nice atmosphere with the packed gym. Silver Grove showed they really wanted it but will get another chance with Ludlow next Wednesday night.

Barring unforeseen cancellations I will guess that Silver Grove has 8 games left for Lambert to achieve his quest. Beings that two of those games are vs Cov Latin and Heritage and three others against Ludlow, Dayton, and Bellevue, I'd say that barring injury he makes it.
