Did Lyon get a scholarship to UC? Please clarify "sign"? I don't see him on their scholarship nor their preferred walk on list.

The only difference between a preferred walk on and a regular walkon is when they can report to practice. A preferred walkon can report with the rest of the team. A regular walkon has to wait till school starts. They can only bring in 105 players to camp which includes 85 scholarship players. When school starts i believe they can dress for practice as many as want. Its completely possible he is a regular walkon the first year then be part of the 85/105 difference after that if hw sticks with it.

He signed something but it was not a NLI. That is only signed if you receive an athletic scholarship.

Probably not listed because of having to be cleared by admissions. If Lyon is a PWO, he'll get to work out all summer and head to "Higher Ground" with the team. A HUGE difference from the reg. WO! Congrats to the young man!
