That Sam Burke info dawned on me but I couldn't beat you back here.

I confused myself because I remember Sam coaching at Boyle County as an assistant after he left Garrard County. I wandered down to watch a freshman game at Lincoln County. I was in college at the time. Either the refs didn't show or somebody forget to hire them but several of us got drafted to be referees. What a joke! I was terrible. At one point, Sam Burke told me, "This might be fun and games to you, son, but we're taking this game seriously."
