With his Daddy telling him its ok and not making him curb his actions for such a long time, nothing will change with this kid. I hope I am wrong, but he has been heading down the wrong road for a long time and no one has done anything to get him to switch paths.

Well I know I'm being like Goody what's her name in The Crucible, but I saw Zeke blasted drunk walking around Cardinal Boulevard after we won the National Championship. I'm not knocking him for drinking, because that would be hypocritical of me. This was after he got in trouble with the team for drinking during a game, though.

I know it popular to blame his dad. And maybe he should have been tougher, and not bailed Zeke out of jams (allegedly). But his dad is a pretty stand up guy, and I seriously doubt he was in the background telling Zeke everything is ok, and not to worry about it, keep doing what you are doing. Sometimes, good guys just have knucklehead kids, just like knucklehead parents can have really good kids. I can't say if I had his means, I wouldn't have done everything I could to get my kids out of trouble (at least a couple of times), too. It's easy to say we would have parented differently if we were in those shoes, but I'm willing to bet many would not have. Especially if we had a kid as talented as Zeke is(was?). At this point, this is Zeke's baggage, and he's the one to blame for his actions.
