Good win for the Tigers. It sounds like X had some key baskets late in the game by some of their role players. Shaw has proven he his the teams go to guy, but it sounds like they don't have a consistent number 2.

That is correct! Shaw had 18 shots after 3 quarters, and took only 4 more in the 4th quarter and OT.During that time, Saint X outscored Western 32-22. Shaw also had 9 assists.

The St. Xavier basketball team has found a winning strategy so far this season: Work itself into a close game and take care of business in overtime.

 

The Tigers rallied from 11 points down in the second quarter and nine points down in the fourth to force overtime against Western, then executed at the free-throw line for a 68-65 victory in the second round of the Republic Bank Louisville Invitational Tournament at Valley High.

 

Robert Shaw finished with 26 points, nine assists and four rebounds, and fourth-seeded St. X (13-2) made 9 of 9 foul shots in overtime as it improved to 4-0 in overtime games this season.

Congrats on the W. . . Now do something really impressive and beat PRP and gain a spot in LIT Semi's.....
