Keaton and Fryman also deserve credit for Nicholas County's success through mid-season. Keaton has been playing very well inside the past 5 games for the Jackets (including 19 against Pike Co. Central, 30 against Wiiliamstown, and 22 against St. Patrick). Fryman has double-digit rebounds every night and plays very good defense. Newton leads team with 18.5 average and 85% FT shooting while Keaton at 14.5 ppg and 5.5 rpg. This team is getting healthy and playing better each night.

Scott had a rough Winter Break. Going something like 1-8 with their only win coming against Ludlow.

The issue with Montgomery Co. players is that outside of Wallace, they don't stand apart from each other. Jones, Cisero and Piersawl have all had games where they looked like a top 5 player in the region but have had others where they wouldn't have stood out as a top 20 player. I think the balance on the team might prevent some of them from garnering individual honors.

As LCD said, you can make a case for a lot of players to be on these teams & Piersawl is one of them. Blanton from GRC, Thompson from Harrison County, Ohmer from Scott, Wilson from Campbell County, Jones from Pendleton County, etc.

I Really like DeAnte Cisero's game. He played great vs Henderson and Lincoln county. Excellent post player. In my opinion as good if not better than Trentman and Johnson.

Another thought: Don't sleep on Xavier Piersawl. He is a lot more athletic than he appears. Elected to focus on basketball rather than playing running back for the football team. Great shooter and gets to the basket with ease. Plays extremely aggressive as well.

Piersawl hung 30 on Madison Central. He's the key to MOCO's long run this year.
