Just sat down at the start of the fourth quarter of the JV game preceding tonight's headliner. Ballard currently leads 41-21 for anyone interested.

Two guys just walked in wearing Eastern hoodies. Roundly booed by the Ballard students already here. As they walk past me, one says to the other "See, I told you."

Hilarious.

So glad you are going to be giving updates. I thought this game was tomorrow night.

Huge props to Ballard for this media guide... It's outstanding. Season by season results, all-time records and leaders. Great stuff. It's worth noting here that Quentin Snider needs 603 points this season to pass Allan Houston and become Ballard's all-time leading scorer. He had 714 last year.

Man oh man the things I have heard coming from the Ballard student section over the years...

Keep the updates free-flowing getslow. You are my lifeline tonight!

Now 10 minutes from tip. Pretty full all around.

Is the game at Scott Co?

Ballard, hence the Eastern hatred.

The network is dying from overload here; updates will be sparse.

Ballard ran out 21-8 but Scott Co. Has the last 7 to make it 23-15.

I have Snider with 10 points, 2 assists a steal and a rebound already.

One minute to play in the first.

End of the first; Ballard leads 28-17.

Scott Co.'s big man spent most of the quarter on the bench after picking up his second foul three minutes in... bit of a close call too.

Back to back triples by Scott Co and this is a 28-23 game.

Ballard takes a timeout... presumably for Coach Rennet to remind his players that you have to stand close to opposing players to try and stop them scoring. Scott Co's three pointers have all been WIDE open.

Ballard answers with two threes of their own: 34-25 Ballard.

Ballard is so difficult to stop offensively. Scott Co not playing poorly but Snider and Co. can't be stopped.

45-30 Ballard

Halftime; Ballard leads 49-32.

Snider with 16 pts, 4 ast, 3 reb and 2 stls in the first half. Wow.

I don't have Scott County's roster with me. Their scoring has come from the play of two talented guards, No. 12 (I think Gilbert) and No. 23... I'll know their names during the second half, I promise.

Ballard is so tough to stop. When they had trouble getting it inside, they shot from outside (7 threes as a team that half); when the defense started cheating out to the guards, Martin started seeing openings in the lane.
