I was referring to the fact that we went into last year's game overlooking them and thinking about having another shot at the team from Westwood. Yes, we have played much more focused this year. I was just referring to that hurt that still lingers from last year. We all need closure.

:thumb: I love that reference, being a fan of Ohio State football and the rivalry with "that team up north". I will use that when referring to the team from westwood from now on. We got that shot and took it this season - was a direct hit - dominated, embarrassed them....before their self induced problems came down.

 

Focus does not seem to be a problem for the Rams. If you can "will" yourself to win, I think they are good. There seems to be some harbored feeling from last year's playoff loss.

 

The work has to be done, to Deserve Victory.

Ever remember hearing,,,,, "HIT SOMEBODY"..or.."You're not out there to dance with tem...put their "butt" on the ground" A few of the old farts repeated these at times, I seem to remember - was always in the upmost kindness, :idunno: and just some friendly encouragement.

I remember back in the day, we had a player move in from another district. We are playing a game, and he comes back to the huddle and says, "those guys on the fence over there keep yelling at me". One of the other players said, "they always yell at us, it's a Raceland thing".

You're right, they probably would go in "Fence crew shock", that is probably a good thing that they don't hear that now. Unless a person grew up hearing it, it may be too much. I kind of think that this bunch could handle it but don't know how long the "fence crew shock" would last or what it would do to them at the onset.

Lets face it Ram, the teams back then would have thought that they were "given up on" if they didn't hear anything coming from behind them....at home or on the road, made no difference.

BTW....If the phrase "put a dress on Nancy" offended any of you I ....uh,:eek: no I mean they told me that are sorry. :sssh:

Rams, there has been talk of "best ever" Rams football team. Right now, although I fully believe that you are in the top few that may deserve that name attached to it, those other few teams all had the same accomplishments that you have got right now...All have won District Championships, Conference Championships and have had at least the same, some with better regular season records. No Raceland Team has Won a Region Title. Should you want to possibly separate yourself from the other elite Raceland Rams teams then winning a Regional would go a looooong way in accomplishing that.

A Region Title was not the only goal set by this team, you already have the EKC and District7 Titles but that is a necessity to get to and win a 1A state championship.

So that Region Championship is once again at the door. SO - Do Your Job (DYJ)....Kick the Dang Door in !
