Florida State @ Clemson Updates

FSU playing a little too far off the line with Watkins for my liking.

Noted. I'll keep that in mind as the game progresses.

FSU had a great chance to get off the field but instead commit pass interference. Going to be tough to keep the shutout intact through the quarter.

Have to get off the field on third down. Have to.

Clemson got the response they needed this time. They picked up a couple of third down conversions. One by the pass interference, the other when FSU only brought three men for pressure, giving Boyd way too much time.

Watkins with the TD on a short slant. 17-7 FSU.

It's worth noting that Watkins made a phenomenal catch.

Jameis with his first mistake, a really poor INT thrown. Either he threw to the wrong spot or his receiver ran the wrong route. I think it was the first time I saw Clemson really blitz.

On replay, looks like Shaw ran the wrong route.

Clemson with great field position. A TD all but erases the start. Crowd starting to respond after being stunned at the start.

FSU brings a three man rush and drops 8, and this time it works despite no pressure on Boyd. Clemson with a 4th and 16, and will punt rather than attempt a 53 yd FG.

Obvious win for the 'Nole D. They actually have better position than they did on their FG drive.

FSU making some mistakes now. Jameis made a perfect strike to convert on third and 15 from the shadow of their goalposts..... but they got a delay of game having snapped it too late. They make a giveup run and get some more punting room.

Good punt, but Clemson will still have it just barely on their own side. They've had good field position all night long.

Three man pressure again on a third down and Clemson picks it up. That's worked out for FSU once so far, and at least three times I can think of it bit them.

FSU D stands strong, but FSU continues to have just atrocious field position, taking over on their own 5.

JAMEIS TO GREENE! 72 yard TD!

Jameis hits Greene short and Greene makes Winston look good on the stat sheet by outrunning the D.

AWFUL interception by Boyd. He threw to a spot where only Joyner (FSU) was.

Plus they threw that INT when Florida State had only 10 guys on the field. And that was after a guy ran on late to make it 10.

James Wilder out for the game with a concussion. That's a big bummer and a big loss.
