ATLCat Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Not very pretty but Belfry gets a convincing win over a pretty solid team. Pirates have major injury bug problems as they travel to take on the defending 3A Champs from TN.. may also be without both starting safeties
newarkcatholicfan Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 As I said this one would not be close. G.A. is not as good as their record would lead you to believe.
oldrambler Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Congrats to Belfry, nice to see another KY. team get a W over an Ohio team.
Watusi Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Gallia Academy has an elusive QB who is very entertaining. He was a lot of fun to watch and so was #4, a WR. According to one fan, Gallia is playing with a new coaching staff this year. They have gone to a spread offense after being a wing-T team in the past and they are going through some growing pains. The QB is a 3 year starter and a senior and he is quick and slippery. Fran Tarkenton would have been proud of him tonight. I can't count how many time Belfry got great penetration only to get a hand or arm on him and have him slip through for good yardage. I liked him a lot.
ATLCat Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 Belfry entered without: -Starting FB -Starting DE -Starting Safety Belfry ended the game without: -Starting FB -Starting HB -Starting WR (which is huge this year because Taylor has became a vital part of the offense and had two TD's last night) - Both Starting DE's - Both starting Safeties - Top backup Safety - Essentially a starting HB and CB, he is the #1 reserve at each and plays a ton of snaps. His name is X Willis and keep him in your thoughts, appears he had the only substantial injury and it was a knee injury. Good chance Belfry gets crushed next week making the 4 hour trip to Knoxville with a MASH unit.
