I'm not entirelly sure - King. I know they had an outstanding young player in AJ Hayes last year...not sure if he was a senior or not.

Or was that Henderson? Hmmm.

I'm gonna guess that was Henderson.

What Does Harrison Co have this Year?

Harrison has a decent player in Simon Brazinski, and I believe their #2 player from last year is back as well.

They will probably be a top 4 team in the region, but I don't see them having much of a chance at winning. They won't be any kind of a factor at the state leval.

Man is that Quigley is good. I think he has the men single championship in his hand. I use to think that rutherford would have one a title but not the way thsi guy is playing.

I would have to agree with front row fan....with all these great players trying to win a single title the doubles is wide open.

Do you mean Henson for Harrison? I think his brother was on the regional champ team a couple of years ago.

It seems like the top players all have access to inside courts.

Maybe we should an All A Tounament for Tennis.

Let me correct myself, his brother was a doubles champ for the region.

The team did not win region :thumb:

Correct. That night was one of the most exciting nights of my life. Montgomery beat Harrison in a team tiebreaker for the team title. I think we had the best chance ever to sweep all 18 points that year, but our doubles teams both lost hearbreakers (Our #2 team in 3 sets to Henson/Withers) and we only ended up with 10 points, and barely escaped with the title.

Preston Freeman is another great player from Ashland... following right in the footsteps of Kyle Virgin.

You just put a little pressure on Freeman. But I am sure he can handle it.

I can't wait to watch the positioning of the teams this year.

Who is the coach at Ashland?

Eddie Sizemore is the coach at Ashland. Freeman is decent but a little overrated.

Preston's a good player but he has struggled against quality opponets.

Julie rules.

CovCath loses one of its better tennis players in Joey Westling. Foot injury. Great kid, hate to see him end like this. However, CCH should win the region and make it 4 in a row I believe.
