Yes.

Funny you mention that. Raceland plays Coal Grove, Ohio this week. About 10 years ago Raceland played Coal Grove, they attempted a Field Goal that was blocked by Raceland. The Coal Grove players ran off the field and a Raceland defender ran it back untouched for a touchdown.

 

All their fans were screaming that Kentucky rules were wrong. I just laughed, knowing Ohio plays by the same rules as Kentucky.

My alma mater hadn't beaten Bell County in years (those wins are tough to come by in the Mountains). They kick a desperation field goal that is way short. Our deep man picks up the ball and throws it straight up in the air because we'd finally overcome and broke the streak... or so we thought.

 

Tough lesson.

Another funny story, but this one was in a grade school game in Clay County.

 

Kid who turned out to be a good athlete breaks free and has an easy path to the end zone. There was only a few seconds on the clock when the play started, so when time expires, the kid, who was a good basketball player, just stops. Defenders come up and make the tackle.

SK had a field goal blocked a few games ago and a SK player picked up ball to run it in and the refs whistled the play dead.
