September 19, 201312 yr Split my head open' date=' falling off a chair while trying to sneak a peek at Elvis at the Polynesian Culture Center on Oahu in April 1977. They took me to the first aid room to clean the wound and see if I would need stitches and about 10 minutes later, Elvis came in there to wait for his limousine to be brought around. He was leaving because his arrival had so disrupted the performance that he felt bad. He asked what happened to me and I felt horrible for being part of the disturbance. My mother had no such guilt or remorse because she was positively gushing and asking him to sign random crap like medical tape. He looked horrible and sad, and when he passed away a few months later, I never forgot that he couldn't enjoy his night out because of idiots like me. I have never paid attention to celeb citings since then.[/quote'] I thought you were going to say that he "prescribed" a few happy pills for you after the incident.
September 19, 201312 yr Also, and I've mentioned this before, had a nice 20 minute conversation w/ the Hulkster as an 11 year-old and in 1991, it didn't get any bigger than that for me. It went 1. Hulkster, 2. Larry Bird, 3. Michael Jordan, 4. The Pope in my hierarchy at that time. A person MUST have priorities.
