Nothing, other than the general arrogance and sneakiness of it. As a business owner/operator, I was not aware of it until I read the article. As I have said before, folks would definitely vote differently if business did not have to be the tax collector for the government. If every individual had to physically write a check each month or quarter to pay their income taxes, voter turnout would be huge, and people would pay much closer attention to "fine print". They would also more vigorously hold their congressman's feet to the fire.

So its a bad law. That didn't get communicated to the general public. So now we are going to name call small business owners when most of congress probably still hasn't read the entire bill. Very thoughtful approach to the subject. How can small businesses be expected to understand the entire law without guidance from the Federal government. The law is ridiculous.

WOW! Obvious that you see an overreaching govt as infallible. Why would I be expected to read through a 906 page bill that was voted for by your favorite people, which they did not read themselves? The only "obligations" I have are to pay my employees for the work they perform.

Just Laziness and irresponsibility ,and poor excuses .

Business's exist to create wealth for their owners, not cow-tie to government bureaucracies. Small business and growing businesses are getting killed. At some point they will have to decide to if its worth building business if the effort of paperwork for the federal government is so high. Atlas will shrug - these business owners will put their capital into the bank, move to cheap Belize and jobs will evaporate.

I agree that has defined Obama's presidency. I would also include lack of thought put into implementation of ideas.

The increase in regulations these small businesses have to monitor and comply with is where the "onerous" starts to come in. What may not seem like much individually can, when taken in their entirety, often overwhelm the small business owner.
