Covington Catholic 35 Campbell County 0 (Frosh scrimmage)

Featured Replies

First play from scrimmage which was started at the 35 yard line. CVH took the snap and ran untouched for a 65 yard TD run and it didn't get any closer.

Campbell County from what I was told did not venture across mid field the entire game!

BTW CVH= Cole Vonhandorf

Took this game in from start to finish. Ugly if your a camel fan but they had a couple shots at the end zone. So not sure who told you they didn't cross mid field but that's untrue. Clearly cov cath was the dominate team and the camels have a lot of work to do.

Sounds like a down year for the Camels. :D

Camels will be fine. Cov cath is a tough squad. Swarming defense and lots of weapons on offense. Cov cath took a lot of shots down the field and connected on a few, where camels seemed more comfortable trying to get 5 yards a pop. But when your only running 10-15 plays on offense you better move the ball.

Sounds like both CCH QBs played well.

Both did play well. Missed a couple reads, but overall very well. Hentz has some feet and an arm- just not as big as CVH. Both are terrific players and kids though.

Let's just hope that nobody gets too cocky on the CCH frosh squad. Keep everything in perspective and keep working hard.

Should not happen. Coaches knock the cockiness out in every practice.

Sorry for the misinformation, as I was doing the stats for the varsity game and had to rely on someone else!

Not a big deal. Don't get me wrong cov cath dominated the game and the 1st set of 15 plays the camels didn't cross the 50 and cov cath scored 2 tds on their first 15 plays. I think they both ran about 45 plays each and ran one set like a real game. It'll be a good measurment for the camels to see if they improve from this when they meet in week 2. Good luck the rest of the way!
