This apparently was a very rough game. The difference to me sounded like age and experience, Bardstown started 5 seniors, including field general Calhoun, Somerset 3 sophomores. Tigers shocked the Thicket Bunnies in the 1st half, and then withstood a furious Jumper charge, but never really lost control of the game.

Sounds a lot like the Gallatin Co. game, except the Wildcats never made a run. Gallatin plays 2 freshmen and 3 sophs in their 9 man rotation and play only 1 senior.

Of course I was listening to it on the radio, and the Jumper fans were right behind our guy, so it did seem that they were pretty upset about many of the calls. But when Bardstown was called, I could also hear our smaller crowd from across the room.

 

It also sounded like a very PHYSICAL game, what was happening out there?

Very poorly officiated game.........shs had 5 walks in the first half, i would say 2 of them were.

Somerset will win it all in 2008. They have an outstanding soph. class. They have been starting 2 sophmores ( price and cole) who was the third sophmore that started?
