U. Meyer has reported to have dismissed star RB Carlos Hyde from the Ohio State football team due to assault charges on a female over the weekend. Also, CB Bradley Robey suspended/dismissal pending due to assault charges......

Waiting for the Urban Meyer bashing to follow....

Can these college football players get any more stupid ? Seems like there are some every year from any number of schools going out and are determined to screw up. Thousands if not millions of high school kids would give anything to have these guys abiity and the privilege of playing college/possibly pro football and these ungrateful ones that have everything in their hands and go out and blow it.

Hyde was a main cog in the OSU attack. I support Meyers decision 100%. No one is above the team/program.

I don't see how anyone could bash Meyer. I think that he has done the right thing.

Then again, some don't need a reason to bash OSU Football or Meyer, it's just what they do.

Encouraged Hyde to call UNC.

I'm still waiting for the first one.. You are correct they will never need a reason or always a fact.

Meyer has a long history of running a very loose ship, so any bashing would be well-deserved. He did the right thing here though.

Would you agree some of the greif that Urban catches is because of his lack of discpline at Florida?

I do but with the demographics the Florida football program seems to draw a tough crowd in a fast area.

It should be noted that OSU has not made an official statement. Also, that Hyde will be interviewed by the Cbus police tomorrow, he has not been arrested or charged with anything. Some think we should hold on but UM was a critic of Hyde's in the past, although he's come around until now. Pretty sure Bucks have to move on but hope it works out for Carlos.

Just saw Hyde is "suspended", not dismissed. Looks like Urban dropped the ball again.

How so...?

Here is a link to the update. Apparantley whoever reported at ESPN was mistaken or didn't have all the info. There is reported to be video tape of the incident in question.
