Who will be the next head coach at Paintsville HS?

I fear this program is in trouble. I hope they find the right person.

Are they supposed to have some really good young players?

Not sure about that, they have had trouble with numbers over the last 5 or 6 years. I don't know much about what they have in Jr High coming up. But, they have struggled to be competitive for several years at the varsity level. Paintsville used to be THE team in the area, but with the development of Johnson Central a few miles across town they have struggled.

They may have some good players coming up. I just don't' get to see their younger guys play being a decent distance away from them. I guess we will see.

I have to think that one of the variables hindering Paintsville is soccer.

 

You show me a Class A school (and one of the smaller ones at that) with both football & soccer, and something has to give and/or neither are going to reach their full potential.

 

I hope they get the right person, bc this program has way too much tradition to be tossed to the wayside.
