Owensboro returns a solid group of JR's that have been getting varsity minutes the last couple of years....6'5 Justin Miller(who got a Fab Frosh invite if I'm not mistaken),6'6 Aric Holman,5'10 Darion Marrow,5'9 Airious Phillips,& 6'0 Dylan Sanford. Basketball talent in the Owensboro area (9th district) is on an upswing. Apollo has Eli Wright,Hunter Shelton,& the Seargent kid. Owensboro Catholic(region runner ups) return close to their whole team. Ed Carter,Ray Zuberer,,Ryan Clark,& Cameron Obryan among others. Daviess Co. losses Logan Obryan but has 1700 kids to choose from. They should have some talent too....

Great info. Look forward to reading your posts during the season!!!!!

Owensbororeturns a kid that is 6'9" but their guard play is not spectacular. They have not played great this offseason taking losses to bot Warren East and Bowling Green. Justin Miller looks like he is not in basketball shape either.

Who's the 6'9 kid for Owensboro? Is he a transfer? The group of kids I named were the ones that played the majority of minutes last year. (Along with graduated players Trey Howard,JB Johnson,& Steve Hanley.) But yes Owensboro will have to find some help at the guard position. PG will be a big issue. I think Phillips will eventually get the minutes there. But he stars in fball so he'll be behind most kids that only play bball.

Not sure of the kids name but he is only a Junior.. He is definitely 6'9" because he stands about 1-2 inches over the Ayers kid at BGHS. He is legit too. They have him playing the 5 but he is a stretch 4 or a 3 man. Prefers to play facing the basket but can also play in the post. If he gains about another 30 lbs., he could be the top player in the State with his size and skill set.

You must be talking about Holman. Unless he hit a major growth spurt he's not 6'9 though. I think he is actually one of the most underrated kids in his class. He is still developing but he has great footwork and can hit the 3 and put the ball on the floor. He has to get a lot stronger but the kid competes. He's a heck of a pitcher too. If he ever just focused on bball he could be a great great player!

He probably hit a growth spurt then because he towers over Joseph Ayers who is 6'7" and I heard he has an older brother who is 6'11, so him hitting a growth spurt is not improbable. Not sure that this kid plays baseball though. They had a 6'6" white kid that came off the bench that might be the one you are referring to....

Holman is not white or 6'9. He doesn't have a brother 6'11 either. But he definitely is a good baseball player. Has been since Owensboro Southern Little League. The kid your referring to may not actually be Aric Holman....could be somebody new....

You can do a quick google search of Aric Holman and it'll pull up baseball articles and pics from baseball & basketball season.
