Field looked fine and most of Holly Cross errors where throwing. I would like to know the list of Several High School fields that are better surfaces than NKU's field. Everyone plays on the same surface.

Whatever. Very poor surface for D1 school in my opinion. As an 8th Region parent/fan, I can confirm that NKU's facility would not be in the top 5 of the 8th Region surfaces. I would guess that nkysoftball can confirm that. SK, WV, Collins, Shelby County, Carroll County, Henry County, just to name a few.

Not disputing the throwing errors, as I did not see the game. But, you obviously think I am kidding about the high school fields I mentioned. Contrary to popular belief, softball was not invented in NKY or the Greater Cincy area.

Can we pay someone to keep him away tonight!!!! Check IDs at the gate please. We turned in our pass list...can I put him on a "do not allow in the park and stay away from our bench" list????

 

We will take him on our sideline today!!! I mean everytime he is on the same field as us we win......:jump:

I agree that the NKU field surface is not what you would want from a D1 field. Bottom line is both teams play on the same field and there was not one play from a field stand point that had any effect on the outcome of the game. So, why are we talking about this. Great job Conner and great job to Holly Cross for a productive year. I also would like to wish the Moran girl good luck at the next level. Wow what a great player, even though she did not have her best game. When she takes the field, you know she is a player, without question

I agree the field is fine...and yes most errors where throwing caused by balls not being fielded cleanly...if it sounds like I was trying to make an excuse as that's the reason HC lost that was truly not my intent...

 

With that being said I still think the region should be played at NKU but seeing H C was the host I would have loved to have the games at their home field and not bc of any home field advantage bc I don't think we could have beat Sims anywhere last night....its just a better place to watch a game and their surface isnt any better or worse...parking and restrooms could have been a problem but any one that walk by Nku last night smelled their problems with the restrooms.

NKU has a very nice softball complex, my comment was that the infield playing surface is not the smoothest around and I think there is some agreement to that point.
