Wolfe is giving up a lot of points here lately. What kind of defense are they playing, or better yet, how are thier players lining up when they don't have the ball.

 

178 total points ...... in 32 minutes. Between the two team there were probably 8 or 9 shots per minute on average; or 1 shot every 7 seconds, or about the time it takes to run down the floor and back.

 

Fact is, in a game like this whoever is hitting will win. Wolfe probably shot as many as Estill but weren't hitting. I heard that Stamper only hit 2 or 3 out of 18 shots (almost all 3's), which sounds about right. Had he shot 40% the Wolves should have won. In fact, Wolfe can be a dangerous team to play this way. Cody was on the bench for at least 8 minutes due to fouls, so that was another factor.

 

This was not a defensive showcase by either team, but Estill was leading and could afford to run with it. You don't have to play great defense when a team aint hitting. Dixon hits a high percentage of his shots. Estill was leading by 20 or so untill they missed several free throws down the stretch.

When you have more guns, you shoot more bullets - simple as that.
