Gallatin County 15-1 on the season, only loss coming in the Class A in Owensboro, in a barnburner with St. Henry....Under the conditions, this game goes, either way, my opinion. GC has proved they are worthy, beating teams like Collins, Carroll, Owen, Henry, Walton-Verona,etc etc...So wish the Campbell Co and Simon-Kenton games were made up!!!! Would like to see a lil recognition for a team, that is very talented.....in the NKY area, this will probably never happen, .....

What would you like us to do?

Scores are posted people talk about them...while I do include GC in Nky this board its mainly 9th region teams and schools a little closer than GC. Most schools they play most of us no nothing about....kinda makes it hard to talk about...tell your neighbors and friends and join in.

Perhaps I worded this wrong...I know GC is being talked about, I wish the games that were cancelled, with some of the NKY teams would be made up, so Gallatin could see where they stand, as I said, The Class A game with St. Henry, very entertaining, and a good game, under conditions. St. Henry got the better of GC in that one, But GC had some good games on their schedule that got cxld! and just would like them to play them out....Ya know, just to see where they stand!! Thanx for the reply!!

I will tell you they are in the top 3 in region 8. They will contend for the region title this year.

Gallatin has had a very good season and I'm not taking anything away their accomplishments. However, their schedule is very suspect. They have beaten only one team with a winning record and that is Walton and they are not having a very good year. I wish Gallatin would have played SK and Campbell but it doesn't look like that will happen. They should win the remainder of their regular season games (no team with a winning record). I hope their lack of a strong schedule does not come back to haunt them in the post season. I really would like to see them make a run for the region title.

I have given Farbeyonddriven and open invite to have GC come up to take on the mighty Holy Cross for a couple years now. We would really no where they stood if that happened. But he has ducked us at every turn!!

It would be good for some of the better teams in the 9th and good for GC if they would play each other.

Unfortunately, the GC schedule is suspect, something the kids or I have absolutely no control over. I have suggested for the last couple of years that GC's schedule needs to be turned up a notch, but it has fallen on deaf ears. Would love to play Oldham County, Anderson County, Ryle, Boone, Conner, Holy Cross, NewCath, etc.... But, GC has beaten a couple of teams that have been getting votes in the KHSCA Top 25 Coaches Poll. Hopefully, GC will not let their suspect schedule affect them in the post season. The bright side is that five of those kids have played a solid level of travel ball for many years and are used to playing against good competition, and are not "intimidated" by better teams. GC has one or two kids that are probably the best in NKY at their respective positions. As far as WV not having a good year? Just because they aren't in the hunt for a Region title, doesn't mean they are having a "not good" season.

This time of year with the weekday limitations and the district seeding commitments it is almost impossible to make up a game.
