Thank you Old Bull Dog! I agree with your statement. Silly it is, however..... It's good to see that prayers are answered, especially since St H has had two critical seniors with severe injuries that have rebounded and now are in the picture at the right time.

Boone County beat Cooper 2-1 last night.

 

The winner of Ryle vs Boone gets the #1 seed and the loser gets the #2 seed.

 

Conner is #3 and Cooper is #4.

 

Cooper lost to Conner 1-0 (9 inning's)

 

Cooper lost to Ryle 13-2 (was 2-0 after 5.. While Cooper would have probably still lost, they couldn't bring in their #2 or #3 in relief since they had another seed game the next day)

 

Cooper lost to Boone County 2-1

 

Should be a good 33rd tourney.

From KHSAA web site;

(1) The tie-breaking mechanisms (in order) shall be:

a. If the tie remains between all three teams, the record in the second game played against all district opponents involved in the tie.

 

Pretty random/silly tie-breaker but the way I read it St Henry gets the top seed:ohbrother:

 

Each district makes up their own rules. For example, the 36th uses run differential as part of the tie-breaker but they cap it at 7.

The signed agreement in the 34th is:

(1) Head to Head - doesn't apply since the top 3 would've all beat each other.

(2) Least amount of runs allowed against teams involved in tie-breaker - If St. Henry beat Dixie 6-3, Lloyd beat St. Henry 6-4, and Dixie beat Lloyd, 5-0, then you have Dixie allowing 6, St. Henry allowing 9, and Lloyd allowing 9.

(3) Coin Flip.

 

So by my estimation and assuming all other seed games play out as expected, I'd guess that Dixie is the top seed, then Lloyd and St. Henry will have a coin flip to see who wears white in the #2/#3 matchup.
