The Amazing Spider Man 2

Featured Replies

Just saw the movie. My major criticism is that forever it seemed like nothing happened. Like really slow pacing. And then they unleashed everything in the last 25 minutes. I didn't feel like they did justice to the Green Goblin and I especially thought their treatment of Harry was rushed. I didn't find his turn believable and would have been better served waiting until the next movie after introducing him in this one. Basically, they made a mistake not including him in the first one at all. He got evil real quick.

All in all, it's pretty clear that all this movie was is a setup for the next films. They want to do Sinister Six and they want to do Amazing Spider-Man 3. I feel like the inevitable event that we got was done simply so this movie wouldn't be viewed as an utter throwaway. And while that was of course the best part of the movie, it just felt like it was thrown in because they were greedy in not wanting to give you a real movie while simultaneously properly and patiently laying the groundwork for future films. To be blunt, Sony is no Marvel. I felt this movie was not only not as good as its predecessor, but a HUGE step back.
