What do the BGP resident CovCath faithful think of Kevin Listerman as a head coach?

Featured Replies

Since the Cov. Cath. faithful arguably might know Keving Listerman the best, what do they think of the hire of Kevin as a head coach?

I remember at the time he was hired by his father to be an assistant he was seen as the heir apparent at Cov. Cath., so I would think this is a thought that has already been "thunk" (or would it be thunked) in Colonel land (abeit a few years ago).

OB, Kevin has been gone for so long from CCH that many current CCH folks simply do not know him very well.

I wonder if he will get the CovCath reject chant, like his dad got?

Bet on it. Of course, none of the students know who he is.

While I do not hold myself out as a person dialed in to the Cov. Cath. hierarchy, I have been a faithful fan for more than 40 years, so here goes.

I think Kevin is a perfect fit at Highlands. (I actually think Mike would have been an even better fit.)

Kevin will be a hard nosed, no nonsense leader of the program. He will be a good recruiter of kids walking the halls who can help the basketball program. If Mike comes as an assistant, all the better.

I wish Kevin the best of luck and appreciate all that he and his family have done over the years for CCH basketball. (And of course, Beat Highlands.) :thumb:

There are at least a half dozen or more CCH & NDA grads that teach and/or are administrators at the HS & MS alone and I am sure a few more in the 3 elementary schools in district. They all do a fantastic job and FTIS is happy to have them! Point being, this hire is really nothing new in FT over the past fifteen yrs or so. Great hire! Go Birds Go
